JAMIE TWYMAN - ARTIST BIO
Jamie is a 3D Artist, Lead Designer and Visualiser based in London, UK.
His work combines elements of surrealism, classical art, and science fiction - creating a unique and imaginative aesthetic. Jamie’s love for art began early, nurtured by his affection for the sci-fi and fantasy genres. Throughout the mid-1980’s, he developed a fascination for drawing fantastical creatures and surreal scenes, which laid the foundation for his artistic style today. After over a decade working as a DJ, producer and promoter, Jamie returned to art in 2008,beginning with hand-cut collages. His transition to digital collage quickly garnered the attention from galleries and promoters across central London. In 2016, Jamie took a year off to focus on developing his craft. Following successful exhibitions and the sale of limited edition print, he delved into 3D design, starting with a CAD course and progressing to self-taught skills in Cinema4D through online tutorials and experimentation. The 2021 NFT boom proved fruitful for Jamie. His 1/1 editions, including the notable ‘ARCHETYPES’ drop, were well-received, both critically and financially. For two years, his work was represented by his management team, giving him visibility during this pivotal time in the digital art world. Jamie now maintains a dedicated following of over 20,000 Instagram followers. He continues to push his creative boundaries by working with the gaming and film industries while also focusing on his personal art and collaborations. Although Jamie is publicly critical of AI in art, he embraces the democratization of creativity,
stating:
‘Anyone can be a creator now, which is fantastic. However, let’s not forget that mastering
a craft takes years of practice. For me, the joy comes from the process, the mistakes, and
the small victories earned over time. I don’t need or want multiple algorithmic versions of my vision - I want one, born of my imagination.’
